Our kitchen is one of the most lived in rooms of our house. It is in plain view when you walk in the front door and it is open to the living and dining rooms. So naturally, it was one of the first things Brandon attacked when he moved in.

If there was any one phrase that could sum up our relationship, it would be God’s promise from the book of Joel that He would ‘Restore The Years’. DIY DINING CHAIR RESTORE

I have been wanting to restore our dining room chairs for a while. They were a second generation hand-me-down from Brandon’s aunt who had used them for years. The chairs were in decent shape, pretty sturdy but the old finish was coming off. They always felt a little sticky. Gross! And honestly they were not too terrible to look at, they just didn’t fit us.

HOME SWEET HOME

Our house on closing day. Not too bad from the outside.
Brandon bought this house before we met. It was in foreclosure so he got a great deal, but it was definitely not pretty. There were holes in the walls, leaks, stains, unexplainable smells, and check out that nasty pink carpet. It was everywhere!
